The journey from athlete to entrepreneur

After nearly a decade competing as a professional track runner across the UK, USA, and Hong Kong, Chen’s first-hand insights into the needs of athletes laid the foundation for Feldspar. Her remarkable recovery from myasthenia gravis—a chronic autoimmune disease that caused severe muscle weakness—fueled her determination to redefine athletics and build the world’s first digital running track.

In 2022, Chen established Feldspar with a clear mission to revolutionise the way athletes train, perform, and connect with fans. Her experience as both an athlete and entrepreneur uniquely positions her to lead at the intersection of sports and technology. Under her guidance, Feldspar continues to break barriers and push the limits of athletic innovation.

Chen comes from a family of multi-generational entrepreneurs in Hong Kong and holds a BSc in Economics from Warwick University. With her growth-oriented mindset, professional and athletic background, and aptitude for creative thinking, she is dedicated and well-equipped to bring Feldspar’s bold vision to life.
